Frequently asked questions
Everything about ordering, delivery and storage in one place.
Ordering & timing
How do I order a cake?
Pick a cake or dessert in the menu and tap "Let's chat" — WhatsApp, Telegram or Instagram opens with a ready-made message. We discuss the date, weight, flavour and decoration, and I confirm your order. There's no cart or online payment: every cake is made individually, so we arrange everything in the chat.
How far in advance should I order?
The earlier, the better — weekend dates fill up first. As a guide: cakes 5–7 days ahead, bento cakes 2–3 days, wedding cakes 2–3 months.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No, no deposit needed — you pay when you receive your cake.
How can I pay?
Whatever suits you: Tikkie, bank transfer or cash on receipt.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Let me know as early as possible. You can cancel up to 5 days before the date. If custom decoration for your cake is already being made — it's prepared in advance — you may be asked to cover its cost.
Prices & portions
How much does a custom cake cost?
Bento cakes from €35, cakes from €45 per kg, trifles €6 each. The final price depends on weight, flavour and decoration; classics like Kyivskyi and Napoleon come in fixed sizes with fixed prices. Up-to-date prices are on each product page.
How much cake do I need?
Count on 150–200 g per person: 1 kg ≈ 5 people, 2 kg ≈ 10, 3 kg ≈ 15–20. A bento cake (400 g) serves 1–2, a trifle is a single portion. Each format in the menu shows the number of servings.
What's included in the price? Is decoration extra?
The price covers the cake itself (your chosen weight) and its coating. Decoration is priced separately for your design: an inscription from €5, an edible photo print from €7; berries, toppers and figurines we discuss when you order.
Why is a custom cake more expensive than a store-bought one?
Because it's baked just for you: natural ingredients — no margarine or ready-made mixes — handmade, with a design of its own. One cake takes several hours of work, and it's baked right before your celebration, not a week earlier on a production line.
Ingredients & allergens
What flavours are there?
More than 20 flavours: from classics like honey cake, Napoleon and Kyivskyi to pistachio-raspberry and mango-passion fruit. The full list with photos and prices is in the menu. Not every flavour comes in every format — options are listed on each product page.
Where can I find the allergens?
Every product page lists its allergens: gluten, eggs, milk, nuts, peanuts, soy, sesame. Please note: all of these are used in my kitchen, so traces are possible in any product. With a severe allergy, I sadly can't guarantee complete safety.
Do you have gluten-free or vegan cakes?
Not at the moment — all cakes contain gluten, eggs and dairy. If it's about one specific ingredient (say, no nuts or no alcohol), send me a message and we'll see what's possible.
What do you bake with?
With natural ingredients: real butter instead of margarine, and no ready-made mixes — everything is made from scratch.
Decoration & personalisation
Can you make a cake from a photo?
Yes — send a photo as a reference. I'll take the idea, colours and mood, but in my own style: I don't promise an exact copy of someone else's work — your cake will be one of a kind.
Can you add an inscription?
Yes — a short inscription (name, date, greeting) from €5. We agree the wording when you order — do double-check the spelling of the name.
Can I bring my own topper? What about fresh flowers?
Your own topper — sure: hand it over in advance, or we'll arrange it when you order. I don't use fresh flowers — instead I'll suggest other decoration: berries, chocolate, toppers.
Do you print photos on cakes (edible print)?
Yes — edible photo print from €7. Send your picture in the chat when you order. Keep in mind that colours on edible print come out a little softer than on screen.
Delivery & pickup
Do you deliver?
Pickup in Arnhem is free. Delivery within Arnhem is free from €100. For orders under €100 and outside Arnhem: €0.40/km round trip. Delivery radius — up to 100 km from Arnhem. Estimate the cost by postcode on the delivery page; exact costs are confirmed when ordering.
Do you deliver to Nijmegen, Ede, Wageningen, Apeldoorn?
Yes — I deliver within 100 km of Arnhem: Nijmegen, Ede, Wageningen, Apeldoorn, Utrecht and beyond. The rate is €0.40/km round trip. Estimate the cost by postcode on the delivery page; we confirm the exact amount when you order.
Where and when can I pick up?
Pickup is free, in Arnhem. I'll send you the exact address and a convenient time once your order is confirmed — I'm a home bakery, no storefront.
How do I transport the cake myself?
Place the box only on a flat, level surface — the floor of the boot or the car, not on a seat or a lap. Turn on the AC and drive smoothly, no sharp braking. Carry the box from the bottom, and refrigerate the cake as soon as you're home.
Storage & serving
How long does the cake keep?
Three days from the moment you receive it — in the fridge, in its closed box, away from strong-smelling foods.
When should I take the cake out of the fridge?
Take the cake out 30 minutes before serving. Don't leave it in the sun or next to the stove.
Wedding cakes
What's the minimum wedding cake size?
From 5 kg — that's about 25 guests. Every wedding cake is made to order: design, tiers and flavours we discuss personally for your day.
How much does a wedding cake cost?
The rate is the same as for my other cakes — from €45 per kg, minimum 5 kg. The total depends on weight, tiers and decoration: after we talk, I'll send an exact quote.
Can we do a tasting?
Yes, a tasting is possible — the format and price we arrange individually when you order your wedding cake.
How far ahead should we book for a wedding?
Book 2–3 months ahead. Send me the date and the number of guests — I'll let you know if it's still free.
Do you deliver and assemble on site?
Yes, depending on the order — I can deliver a tiered cake and assemble it on site. We arrange the details when you order.
